Who is this guy? & Photo Gallery of Installations:
I grew in a small Maryland town called Brownsville. In my backyard was one of the best woodworking shops on the east coast. The family business was fine woodworking & carpentry. We made and sold kitchen & office products, cigar humidor boxes and a type of guitar called a Dobro. As a result, I'm a pretty damn good craftsman and carpenter. Beyond building guitars and humidors I've also assisted in the construction of houses, additions, woodworking shops, and recording studios...studs, headers, footers, fire-blocks, drywall, spackling, insulation, electrical outlets, dust....I've seen it all.

I attended a private school from grades 8-12, then went to college: Syracuse University. I have a BS degree in audio and video engineering from that fine school and my roommate for a year was Sally Field's son (the actress). Haven't been back since...too cold there. After college I job-hopped... like most good twenty-somethings...restaurants, recording studios, live theaters, bands, theater companies. None of that paid very well...so in my late twenties I got smart and started doing contract work for audio video installation companies. I worked for a number of them mostly in the DC / Maryland area. I did AV installs for the US Army & Navy, The US Post Office, big mega-churches, small churches, restaurants, and homes. That's where I learned how to be told what to do in the audio video installation business. I didn't care so much for being told what to do.

So I went into business for my self.... My company started doing installation work for a large tv retailer some time in 2003. We did hundreds of installations in the Maryland /DC area for them...home theaters, plasmas above fireplaces, plasmas in kitchens, LCDs in bathrooms, Bose in basements, projectors and screens. You name it. I partnered with a fine fellow in 2007 who continues to run that company in the Maryland, DC area.

I moved to Charlottesville that year... I love Charlottesville: Price of housing is better...A lot less traffic....Arts, University, Music, Mountains, Rivers, Lakes...and best of all I can still make a good living selling and installing the toys I love to customers like yourself.. No big ambitions to have a huge company. Keep it small. Keep it simple. Keep customers happy. I enjoy selling and working with customers who are just like myself ... Charlottesville folks with small budgets and big dreams. Hope to see & work with you soon! Best, Jeff Stewart Dixon

What Customers are saying:
"Working with Jeff was great! He helped me decide what I wanted, gave me options for what components to get, and made recommendations when I didn’t know what to do. When I asked him what he would do if it was his house, he always answered thoughtfully. He price-matched the big-box stores in town, delivered everything that I purchased through him, and most importantly, hooked it all up so that it all worked together flawlessly. And, amazingly, got it all done in time for the Superbowl party. He gets our highest recommendation! "
Wayne Snyder / Charlottesville resident, engineer, and happy owner of a 50” Plasma
"Jeff Dixon is both a true professional (he knows his stuff!) and a delightful person to work with. I felt complete confidence in his product and system choices, given the layout of our basement recreation area, and was thrilled with the turnkey outcome he delivered. He advises what works best, not necessarily what is ‘biggest’ or most expensive. (He talked me down from a 63” plasma TV to a 58”, which was both perfect and less expensive.) He is also very flexible, as we ended up changing the location of our ceiling speakers when we changed our furniture arrangement. (Luckily, our ceiling is one of dropped panels.) "
