When You Need Help...

" Customers don’t need to know anything before they call Jeff Dixon of Charlottesville Audio Video except they have a desire to have a media room in their homes.Dixon said it’s nice for homeowners to know what they want to have in their homes, within reason. He said there is a lot of information out there about costs and options and it can cause confusion. He said his job is to put customers at ease and “iron out that confusion.”

Dixon said customers call or email him and he’ll go see the space and talk to the customers to find out how they want to the room to function.

“Is it for watching movies, gaming, sports? There are different systems for different things,”

Dixon said. He takes that information, as well as budget considerations, into account and researches the best systems and emails a quote to customers. “I am open to anything the customer desires to have,” he said. So he will fine-tune the plan from there.

Putting money into a media room can pay off on resale, Dixon said.“It’s an absolute plus for someone who really wants a media room in their home,” he said. “A designated home theater room is a big defining feature of a home – like a swimming pool.”

And if someone is looking for that it’ll have great resale value, Dixon noted.The only mistake homeowners can make, Dixon said, is calling right before the drywall is going up so there’s little time to get the room wired. However, he noted, it’s possible to work around that – or in a room that is already finished. It’s less expensive and faster to wire the room before the walls go up, but he can work around that.One important aspect, he said, is training the customer how to use the new system. As well, he offers a warranty on the installation of the products. "
